Food for Life (FFL): As part of the world’s largest vegetarian food relief program, our local Calgary chapter partners with the Calgary Drop-In Centre to serve between 800 and 1,000 sanctified meals to our neighbors in need. We are honored to contribute to a global mission that spans over 60 countries.
Sunday Community Kitchen: Every week, we open our doors for a Sunday Community Kitchen, offering free, nutritious meals to everyone who walks through our doors. Serving 250 to 400 guests regularly, this program is a cornerstone of our efforts to foster a spirit of sharing and belonging.
Newcomer Support & Integration: Our facilities serve as a welcoming community hub for new immigrants arriving in Canada. We provide a supportive environment where newcomers can introduce themselves, receive local orientation, and find the essential guidance needed to build a fulfilling life in Calgary.
Youth & Civic Engagement: We empower the next generation through dynamic youth programs that emphasize service and leadership. From participating in city-wide spring clean-up drives to managing major cultural festivals, our youth develop lasting relationships and a deep-rooted commitment to their community.
Festival of Chariots (Rath Yatra): Our annual hallmark event brings the heart of Vedic culture to the streets of Calgary. Open to all, this vibrant festival serves over 5,000 free meals and showcases incredible local talent in traditional music and dance, celebrating multiculturalism and the beauty of our shared human values.
Disha – Women’s Empowerment: A dedicated initiative specifically for young women to come together in a safe space. These events focus on building confidence, spiritual empowerment, and a supportive sisterhood within the community.
Health & Wellness Seminars: Hosted public talks on de-addiction and healthy lifestyles, using Vedic wisdom to provide practical solutions for overcoming modern-day habits and stress.
CVA Gratitude Fair: An annual highlight of the Calgary Vedic Academy where children showcase their talents and projects, fostering a culture of "Gratitude and Giving" among the next generation.

Essential Grain Distribution: A silent but vital initiative providing rice and wheat flour hampers to international students and low-income families in the Calgary area, helping alleviate food insecurity for those struggling with the rising cost of living.
