Subject: Support for LOC2025-0181 - September 15 Public Hearing

Dear Councillor,

My name is [First Name Last Name], and I am a resident of Ward [#].

I am writing in regard to LOC2025-0181, which is scheduled for a public hearing on September 15, 2026.

While Administration is recommending refusal of the redesignation, I respectfully ask Council to support this land use redesignation and allow the project to proceed to the next stage.

This application relates to the future establishment of a spiritual & cultural institution (ISKCON Temple) that will serve Calgary's growing community. Approval of the proposed land use is an important first step in realizing the long-term vision for the site. The redesignation would enable the organization to begin fundraising efforts and seek support from other orders of government and community partners for future development.

The applicant has engaged with the Ward 5 Office and understands that additional approvals, including subdivision and development permit processes, will be required in the future. They have expressed a commitment to working collaboratively with the city administration, planning, and development throughout those processes.

At this stage, I am simply asking Council to provide the community with the opportunity to move forward and begin this multi-year journey by approving the proposed land use.

Thank you for your consideration of my comments. I respectfully ask the council to approve the proposed bylaw for the redesignation of the lands at 10717R 84 St NE (LOC2025-0181) at the September 15 Public Hearing.
